Internships @ Pillows City Hotel Brussels Centre
As soon as you step into the newly refurbished Pillows Brussels, you will be welcomed by the residential ambiance of the Living – Resto & Winebar. This restaurant received one Chef’s Hat in the most recent Gault&Millau guide. Our guests savour flavoursome dishses, or sip their way through our menu with carefully selected wines in The Living, the hotel’s beating heart. It’s also a great place to sit back and relax with a good book. The motivated and enthusiastic team of this Pillows Hotel goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. In fact, the service we offer our guests is one of the hotel’s mission. Internship Food & Beverages (available from February 2021)
During this internship your main focus will be on the F&B department and work together as a team to serve our guests as best as we can. We will teach you all about purchasing, stock management, promotions, menu design, staff schedules, forecasting and efficiency. You will also support the operational activities of the F&B department, banqueting, etc. You will constantly be in contact with our guests which offers the perfect opportunity to train your service levels at a high and exclusive level. We will help you in developing your leadership competences as well as your knowledge and experience of the F&B world.

Internship Duty Management (available from February 2021)
You will be co-responsible together with the team for multiple tasks in our hotel. You will be working in and with all the different departments, from front and back office to housekeeping, the technical service and much more. You will be the first point of contact for both our guests and our staff. You will be able to solve operational problems and treat specific requests and complaints from our guests. As a part of this team you will be allowed to try and to learn and you will receive the necessary space and freedom to develop your competences and to show us what you can do.

Internship Front Office (available from February 2021)
During this internship you will be part of our front office team. You will be the first person of contact for our guests and it will be one of your responsibilities to make them feel welcome. When they require (touristic) information or want to make a reservation somewhere, it will be your job to assist them and give them advice. You will be taking care of (phone) reservations, check-in and check-out and the administrative processing of personal details. As a team you are responsible for the well-being of our guests, which means you need to be able to serve a welcome drink as well and gain experience within F&B. You will be in constant contact with guests which offers the perfect opportunity to train your service levels at a high and exclusive level.

Reservations Internship (available per February 2021)
You will receive and accept phone reservations and send confirmations and tenders. You will be doing the input of group reservations, adapting and updating the system and creating offers. You will be able to implement your knowledge about yield management and your commercial insights. You will be working in close collaboration with the Sales Department as well as the Front Office Department.

  • Experience in a similar role in the hotel industry/hospitality is an advantage
  • Eager to learn and able to work independently
  • Flexible and enthusiastic to learn and develop
  • Impeccable communication skills oral and written in Dutch and/or French and English. Any other language is a plus.

We offer you a diversified internship in a luxury boutique hotel that approaches things differently. You will join a team of experienced hospitality professionals who are ready to teach you everything they know about hospitality and coach you to become the best you can be. On top of that you will receive a monthly pay of €400,- and besides that, all employees receive a great discount at all Pillows Hotels. Please note that we cannot offer accommodation to our interns.
